Following speculation that actor Johnny Depp was in bad health, new rumors indicate that his 16-year-old son, Jack Depp, may be facing serious health issues as well.

The news comes from the Paris premiere of the film “A Knife in the Heart,” which stars French musician, actress and mother to Jack, Vanessa Paradis. Director Yann Gonzalez offhandedly announced that Paradis had skipped the film’s premiere in order to be with her son, whom he reported to be facing “serious health problems.”

“Unfortunately, Vanessa Paradis was not able to join us tonight, she had to be absent because of her son’s serious health problems,” he said, according to French outlet Public (via People).

Neither representatives for Depp nor Paradis immediately responded to Fox News’ request for comment.

Johnny Depp and Paradis dated from 1998 to 2012 before splitting up. While they were together, they had two kids. The first was 19-year-old Lily-Rose Depp and Jack, whose real name is John Christopher Depp III, came second.

News of Depp’s son reportedly being ill come soon after his dad was in the public eye after some photos emerged of the “Pirates of the Caribbean” star looking pale, gaunt and thin. Despite the look, sources close to the star say that, bad pictures aside, he’s doing fine and in perfectly normal health. He’s currently on a European tour with his rock band, The Hollywood Vampires. Currently, the band, which consists of Depp, Alice Cooper and Joe Perry, has not postponed or canceled any gigs.
