"Real Housewives of New Jersey" star Teresa Giudice's husband, Joe, is reportedly in deportation proceedings as he serves his 41-month prison sentence, according to multiple outlets.

The New York Daily News reports that a spokesman for the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement confirmed to the outlet that it has lodged a detainer and the 46-year-old is in removal proceedings from the United States back to his native Italy.

Joe, who is scheduled to be released in 2019, began his sentence in March 2016 for mail, wire and bankruptcy fraud.

James J. Leonard Jr., the Giudice's family attorney, has denied the reports.

“I can state with absolute certainty that no decision has been made regarding the immigration status of Joe Giudice,” Leonard Jr. said in a statement to People Magazine. “The same immigration detainer that was lodged against him in March of 2016 remains in place today, but I want to be absolutely clear about this, no judicial authority has made any decision regarding what will happen with that detainer.”

“Mr. Giudice has immigration counsel who are and have been working aggressively on his behalf so that he can return home to his wife and four young daughters and we remain optimistic that that is how this will end.”

Teresa has yet to comment publicly on the reports. Instead, the mom of four took to Instagram on Thursday to post a picture of herself doing yoga.

"Happy #internationalyogaday #namaste #yogi#fitnessjourney," she captioned the snap.

However, the reality star, who has been on the Bravo series since it first aired in 2009, has previously said she is unsure what the future holds for the couple.

"Will I still be married to Joe in 40 years? I have no idea. You don't know what life will bring," the star told Us Weekly in 2017.

Teresa also told the outlet that she still holds anger toward her husband for making poor financial decisions, which resulted in her going to prison for almost a year.

"I know he didn't mean to do it intentionally, but I'm still mad at the situation. He should have been on top of everything," she admitted.

But regardless of the resentment she fosters, Teresa said at the time she has "not yet" thought about leaving him.

RadarOnline was first to report the deportation news.
