At age 48, Kristin Chenoweth is ready to become a mom.

“I’ve sacrificed having a family and being married because, at the time, it didn’t seem possible,” the actress told Closer Weekly. “Now, of course, I’m ready for that time to come in my life.”

Chenoweth, who was adopted, wants to give a child a home.

KRISTIN CHENOWETH: THANKFUL FOR BEING ALIVE AND HAPPY

“I have many kids in my life that I take care of,” explained the currently single star. “In some ways I feel like I’ve adopted them. I would probably adopt before I have my own. Just wanting to give peace and love to other adoptees. If any of them, like me, ever had a question or felt weird about it, I want them to know that it’s not weird. It’s actually really special.”

But even with parenting goals in mind, Chenoweth has no plans to slow down, career-wise, and instead, hopes to successfully juggle both. She’s currently starring in a new series titled “American Gods,” voices a role in “My Little Pony” and appears in the upcoming indie comedy “Class Rank.”

She also told the publication that her parents have been her biggest supporters.

“So many times when I wanted to quit, [my mom] inspired me to continue doing what I love,” she said. “And then when she couldn’t do it anymore, my dad did it. It’s like they tag-teamed me!”

The new issue of Closer Weekly is currently in newsstands.
