Actress' team reportedly in damage control after she admitted, apologized for affair with 'Snow White and the Huntsman' director
Rupert Sanders, the director who was infamously snapped canoodling with Kristen Stewart while they were both in relationships with other people, says his affair with the young starlet was a “momentary lapse.”
Sanders was married to Liberty Ross when the photos surfaced about five years ago. Stewart was in a relationship with her “Twilight” costar Robert Pattinson.
"If you took people off the table for a momentary lapse, there would be no one making art,” he told U.K.’s Metro, explaining that the headline-making affair didn’t ruin his career.
Sanders called the incident with Stewart a mistake.
"You never know what's coming in life. Around every corner there's something unexpected, and that's life. You just have to brush yourself off and continue moving forward the best you can. Everyone makes mistakes. I am bound to make more mistakes, and I wouldn't expect my life to be exciting if I didn't.”
Last year, Stewart discussed the fallout from the pictures of her and her “Snow White and the Huntsman” director.
“Women are so judgmental of each other,” she told Variety of the backlash.
She added, “How do you resent me if you’ve actually never met me?”
