Dancing with the Stars'' Maksim Chmerkovskiy has 'no concrete' return date after injury

"Dancing with the Stars" pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy has bad news for his fans.

After being forced to sit out this week's episode of the ABC competition series due to a calf injury, Chmerkovskiy is unsure when he will be able to dust of his dancing shoes again.

"I have no concrete return date," Chmerkovskiy shared on Instagram.

He also thanked his fans for their "love and support" and asked that they vote for his dancing partner, former "Glee" star Heather Morris. He asked his fans to vote for her in the coming weeks.

Dancer Alan Bersten will be filling in for Chmerkovskiy.

Fox News caught up with Morris and Chmerkovskiy March 1 when the "DWTS" season 20 cast was first announced.

Morris told us her former "Glee" co-stars could not wait to watch her compete.

"I was just texting with Kevin [McHale] yesterday and he was like, 'Oh my God.' I told him, 'I really hope you come,' and he was like, Ah I love it!'"
