“Beauty and the Beast” star Josh Gad took to Instagram on Tuesday evening to reveal he met Officer Keith Palmer, who was killed on Tuesday in the London terror attack.

He wrote that he met Palmer while visiting London with actor Seth Gabel.

“[Gabel] just reminded me that this man, Officer Keith Palmer, who was killed today while working at Parliament was the same officer who was so unbelievably kind and generous to us when we went to visit a few months ago,” Gad wrote.

The actor added that he was “sick with grief” on Tuesday and “particularly stricken knowing that somebody who was so personally kind to me and my friend could be murdered in such a senseless manner.”

Gad appeared on “The Late Late Show” with James Corden on Tuesday.

Corden also had London on his mind on Tuesday. The comedian opened his show with a tribute to London.

Corden told his audience, “Watching the news today, I felt a really long, long way from home. And it’s funny when something like that happens in your hometown, you don’t have a feeling of being glad that you’re so far away. What you feel is that you wish you could be there with loved ones to stand alongside them.”
