Dinesh D’Souza, the filmmaker behind “Hillary’s America: The Secret History of the Democratic Party,” believes Hillary Clinton would win the election if it was held today.

“The blatant and overwhelming support of the media…. the media is [Clinton's] biggest ally, and the media is more biased than ever,” he said. “They are doing their best to discredit [Donald] Trump and to drag Hillary across the finish line," he told FOX411. "That’s a huge asset Hillary has.”

D’Souza thinks, however, that many Americans aren't satisfied with the candidates for president.

“I think a lot of people feel something is wrong in our political system and that we are not getting a choice from the best,” he said. “We are not getting choice of the best people this country has to offer. That the process is distorted and it produces in theory a candidate. I don’t even think the Democrats think they have their best candidate in Hillary and I think a lot Republicans don’t feel they have their best candidate in Trump.”

The filmmaker said if Trump is elected, it will mean drastic changes are in store for the Republican Party.

“The left will feel America has spun out of control and the left will go berserk,” he said. “On the conservative side, a victory by Trump will mean a complete repudiation of the Republican establishment and a mandate for cleaning out the stable, which is to say throwing a lot of the established people out on the street and transforming the Republican Party away from what it has been for the past couple of decades.”

D’Souza shared an exclusive clip from the film with FOX411. Watch it above.

“Hillary’s America” is available October 11th on DVD and Blu-ray.
