Sofia Vergara already has a son in his 20s, but that doesn’t mean she is not open to having more children with husband-to-be Joe Manganiello.
The “Modern Family” actress, speaking in the October issue of InStyle, revealed she has not closed the door on the possibility of adding children to her family.
“I’m really borderline at my age to do it. And if I’m going to do it, I would need a surrogate,” the 43-year-old told the magazine. “I’ll need help. But I don’t mind it. It’s fine.”
This is not the first time the Colombian bombshell has spoken up about having children with Manganiello, 38. Earlier this year, she revealed that it’s on the table, but it would have to be sooner rather than later.
“Joe is younger than me. He’s 38. He’s never had kids. How am I going to say no?” Vergara told Redbook magazine in May. “I tell him if we’re going to do this, we have to do it, like, now, because I don’t want to be 50 with a baby.”
Regardless, Vergara said they are in a good place right now, even if she had some hesitation when they first started dating.
“I didn’t want to go out with him for a long time because I thought he was too good looking,” she told InStyle. “Like it’s too much work, and I’m older. I’m 43 years old. I don’t want to deal with a guy that every girl is after, you know?”
The “Hot Pursuit” actress changed her mind along the way, and now they are finalizing their upcoming nuptials.
“I realized he’s not like a typical handsome guy. He’s not vain. He’s very serious, very straightforward, very easy,” Vergara added. “Also, he doesn’t drink. So that’s great because he doesn’t like to go out partying. And he can sit around a dinner table for hours with my family. He talks s*** and drinks Colombian coffee.”
As for the “Magic Mike XXL” hunk, he cannot stop gushing about his life with his bride-to-be.
“I love my life,” Manganiello told reporters in Las Vegas on Saturday, according to People. “I’m a life lover, and if I’m not happy, I’m doing something wrong.”
