Sharon Osbourne explained the reason why her daughter Kelly had to leave "Fashion Police." It was time for her to "grow up."
"I stand by her," the 62-year-old told Extra's Mario Lopez. "You know, she had an amazing five years on the show, and she learned so much from Joan [Rivers]. It was just her time. She's got to grow up, move into the big world."
Kelly Osbourne left the E! show after her former co-host Giuliana Rancic made comments regarding Disney star Zendaya's Oscars hairstyle. "I feel like she smells like patchouli oil," Rancic said.
Osbourne took to Twitter to slam Rancic and said she was "seriously questioning staying on the show" and a few days later E! announced her exit.
Kelly Osbourne spoke about her departure on her mom's show "The Talk" saying, "I am so grateful for the experience...I want to try new things."
"There are lots of great names, lots of great people over at E! that they have under contract that they'll slip into that chair," Sharon Osbourne said of possible replacements. "It'll be done and dusted like that."
