‘Dancing with the Stars’ pro Karina Smirnoff and fiancé Jason Adelman have called of their engagement, TMZ reports.
It is her third, with no walks down the aisle.
The pair became engaged in January after meeting at a party, but according to a source close to Adelman, the couple had a “different set of family values” that caused the split.
The different set of family values was apparently Smirnoff’s flirty ways around other men which made Adelman feel uncomfortable. The source hinted that the entire dance community was promiscuous. However, the dancing diva was never directly accused of cheating.
Smirnoff’s camp was not too pleased with Jason’s source and issued a statement saying that generalizing her as a flirt is “disrespectful and insulting to the entire dance community at large.” Smirnoff’s rep added that this “is nothing less than an attempted smear campaign from a malicious person.”
Interestingly, Smirnoff, 37, wrote a book about dating due out soon called, “We’re Just Not That into You: Dating Disasters from the Trenches.” She certainly has plenty to write about considering she was engaged to ‘DWTS’ lothario Maksim Chmerkovskiy and pro baseball player Brad Penny.
