In Brooke Shields' new book "There Was a Little Girl: The Real Story of My Mother and Me," the actress opens up about her complicated, loving, and sometimes tumultuous relationship with her mother Teri. Watch the video above to learn more, including the lessons Brooke learned — and the ones she avoided — by watching mom.

On Friday in New York City, Taylor Swift performed at the Z100 iHeartRadio Jingle Ball at Madison Square Garden in a plaid crop-top and pants (below), apparently while fighting off an onslaught of laser beams and super-pointy poinsettias.

Later that same night, Taylor celebrated her birthday by throwing a star-studded party at her Tribeca apartment. Among the attendees were Jay Z, Beyonce, Karlie Kloss, and Justin Timberlake wearing a mask that resembled a pile of feces, which is sure to be this year's hottest holiday gift:

Over the weekend, reality star Kourtney Kardashian and actresses Zoe Saldana and Hayden Panettiere gave birth to a baby boy, twin boys and a daughter, respectively. And lucky for the kids, their birthdays are just far enough from Christmas to necessitate two separate presents, as opposed to just one to cover both events.

Prince George's official Christmas photos were released on Sunday (see one below), and between his cheeky face and delicately combed hair, he couldn't possibly look more British unless he was wearing a sweater vest stitched with Buckingham Palace guards. Oh look, he is!

On her annual ABC special, Barbara Walters named Amal Clooney "the most fascinating" person of 2014. Amal bested the likes of Taylor Swift, Oprah Winfrey, and our personal favorite who was somehow left off the list, the "apparently" kid.

Angelina Jolie, the director and producer of the new film "Unbroken," had to miss her own movie's premiere due to a sudden outbreak of chicken pox. And rather than simply calling out or work and sneezing extra hard into the phone to convince her bosses she was sick, Jolie released an apology video via YouTube:

The recent Sony Pictures hacking scandal has revealed that Beyonce's father, Matthew Knowles, once tried to pitch Sony an idea for a biopic about Destiny's Child. We think it would've been great, especially for Sony, because they probably could have hired every unemployed past member of Destiny's Child to portray themselves for a song.

"Glee" actress Lea Michele and her boyfriend Matthew went out and got matching tattoos on Saturday. They also documented the trip for Instagram (below), presumably to prove how much more hardcore their date nights are than ours.

Despite the whole world noticing long, long ago, Kim Kardashian recently told E! News that Pippa Middleton has  Kim's opinion carries much more weight than ours, however, as she's crafted her entire career on the strength of two large gluteal muscles.

In a new interview with Australia's InStyle magazine (cover shot below), Miranda Kerr revealed that she's "really happy to be single right now," and said that dating is tough because she doesn't want to bring any new guys around her son Flynn until it's "serious." So stop calling her, Uncle Frank!

Despite rumors to the contrary, Oscar-winning actor Christoph Waltz ("Inglorious Basterds," "Django Unchained") confirmed that he will not be playing infamous Bond villain Ernst Stavro Blofeld in the next 007 sequel. So expect him to retain his thick, luscious hair, and possibly stroke some furry little mammal that's not a cat.

And finally, Miranda Lambert revealed the new cover art for her next single "Little Red Wagon." You can listen to the tune below, but the full artwork is only available at JustJared.com, so you'll just have to imagine how literally the photography crew translated her wagon concept to paper. (Spoiler alert: Very.)
