Amanda Bynes is made some very serious allegations on her Twitter account on Friday, and then retracted them, blaming her outburst on a microchip in her brain.

The troubled actress, who many fear is suffering from a mental illness, accused her father of being sexually inappropriate with her early Friday in a series of tweets.

Her parents quickly denied denied the allegations.

"My clients are heartbroken by these false accusations," the lawyer told TMZ. "Their older children are also horrified at the situation."

Bynes then took the statements back, writing, "My dad never did any of those things The microchip in my brain made me say those things but he's the one that ordered them to microchip me."

Her mother told Hollyscoop, the tweets "stem from Amanda's mental state at the moment."

Carolyn Wolf, Director of Mental Health Law at Abrams Fensterman, NY, told FOX411 that "Given the recent comments from Amanda Bynes, it appears that she may be delusional and experiencing psychotic symptoms. Her judgment is impaired, which means she likely lacks capacity to make decisions in her own best interest."

Wolf, who does not treat "probably needs hospitalization. However, her parents face several hurdles in New York if they should seek guardianship including issues with involuntary commitment and a patient's own refusal for help."

The wild messages began on Friday morning, and in the posts Bynes bashed her father, who, along with her mother, cared for the actress for several months on a court-ordered conservatorship that ended recently.

The 28-year-old star wrote that she planned to meet with a lawyer to get a restraining order against her father.

She concludes her tweets by asking that the public and the media stop calling her crazy.

“So call me what you want but please do not call me crazy or insane because that's a joke.”

Though she tweeted that the claims against her dad were not true, she did not delete the tweets.

Bynes' messages on Friday are the latest in a string of bizarre behavior that began last year and resumed again last month after she was arrested on suspicion of DUI. A police report from her arrest says she was under the influence of an unknown drug. Toxicology results from the arrest will not be available for several weeks.

The one-time actress received psychiatric treatment last year after authorities said she set a small fire in the driveway of a home in Thousand Oaks, Calif. She later entered a rehab facility and was released after a lengthy stay. Her parents had been caring for her until their conservatorship ended, and she seemed to be doing better under their care.

Since her conservatorship ended, she has come to New York City where she was spotted trying to shoplift earlier this week. She has also made claims that she is engaged to a 19-year-old bait seller in California.

Bynes first began acting in commercials at the age of 7 and was thrust into the limelight when she later became one of the stars of Nickelodeon’s comedy show “All That.” She then starred in Nickelodeon’s “The Amanda Show” from 1999-2002. Since then, her acting career has waned, and her last major role was in 2010’s “Easy A,” which starred Emma Stone. Before that she appeared in films like “What a Girl Wants” and “Hairspray."

Bynes' older sister and a lawyer for the Bynes family did not immediately return FOX411’s requests for comment.
