Ain’t love grand? Uncle Si and his wife Christine Robertson were married 43 years ago but never had a proper wedding after their justice-of-the-peace nuptials. But this weekend the “Duck Dynasty” cutup celebrated their first wedding ceremony in a deeply moving ceremony reports Us Weekly.

The happy event took place under a white tent at their son and daughter-in-law’s home. Guests signed an original artwork by artist Kristen Myers which included a note from Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood.

The ‘bride’ was escorted down the aisle by her 2-year-old grandsons, Conor and Logan Robertson where Si clad in a camouflage tuxedo jacket waited for her. Actor Kirk Cameron sent a special video message praising Si and Christine for having such a loving and successful marriage.

It was definitely a day for firsts. Si,66, gave Christine her first diamond ring at the altar.

After the ceremony the reality stars along with the rest of the Duck crew (except Willie and Kori Robertson who were attending the White House Correspondent’s Dinner in Washington, D.C. at the time) partied at a green and purple themed reception.

They were entertained by the Nashville band The Mauldin Brothers and chowed down on barbecue food and cupcakes. There was even a kids desert table that included push-up pops.

One secret to a happy marriage is flora. Si told the magazine that he always brings his wife flowers. “I used to bring momma flowers all the time,” he said. “If I drive by and somebody is having flowers, selling them, I buy them.”
