The Duchess of Cambridge will make her first public appearance since the birth of her son George on September 12.

According to the Daily Mail, Middleton will join husband Prince William at the Tusk Conservation Awards.

"It is a long-standing engagement," a palace spokesman confirmed to the publication.

The royal couple has been keeping a low-profile at the Middleton home in Bucklebury, outside London, since Prince George of Cambridge was born last month.

George's proud father delivered a speech in Angelsey, Wales, this week where he said baby George was "pretty loud" and "extremely good looking."

Kate has not been seen in public since the couple departed Kensington Palace for her parents' home.

Of course the big question is: What will she when she steps out on September 12?
