Daniel Day Lewis was so deep in character while filming “Lincoln” those on set could only address him as “Mr. President,” an actor from the film said. Lukas Haas, who played a soldier in the flick, said even Steven Spielberg had to refer to Day Lewis as “Mr. President” during the three month filming period.
