From child bride to chart topper? We shall see.
Courtney Stodden first made headlines when she married 51-year-old “Lost” actor Doug Hutchinson when she was only 16.
Soon after, her self-produced single, “Don't Put It On Me” went viral. To date it has clocked in with over 4.5 million views.
Now Fox411.com has the first listen to the first new single the now-17-year-old busty blonde baby bride has recorded since becoming notorious for, among other things, getting kicked out of a pumpkin patch because of her revealing outfit, and her alliterative tweeting style.
For those who couldn't stop listening to “Don’t Put It On Me,” her new single “Reality” won’t disappoint.
“The song is about clubbing and dancing with your sexy partner,” Stodden told Fox411.com. “To me, it’s a story about lust. It’s about falling in love with someone. Is it in your head, or is it lust?”
Although Stodden says her husband is not a fan of what the kids are listening to today, she said he said he likes her tunes. With “one foot still set in the 80’s” he can’t help but “secretly play my song over and over again in the bedroom,” she explained.
Stodden also hopes that, with this song, her fans will finally be able to see who she really is as an artist.
“’Don’t Put It On Me’ is a kind of tongue and cheek song that I didn’t take seriously at all, but it obviously had a good message to it,” she said. “I love Jesse Jay, Usher and Britney Spears, but I wanted to keep my own frame of mind and create something that’s different from the music out right now.”
In other Stodden news, the singer welcomes her fans and detractors both to check out her new website. The site provides behind the scenes access to Courtney’s diary and VIP members will be eligible to win passes to the pop singer’s summer birthday bash in California when Courtney turns ... 18.
Stodden said she's also busy recording an album and speaking up for animal rights as a spokesperson for PETA.
“I don’t know what’s coming,” she warns. “I just take it one day at a time and I like to surprise.”
But whatever's next, she promises “it’s going to be sexy.”
"Reality" goes on sale on iTunes Tuesday.
