Spanish singer Alejandro Sanz arrived in Venezuela to kick off his three-day “Paraíso Express” tour after a six-year hiatus in performances in this South American country and a series of heated verbal exchanges with Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez.

“I just touched Venezuelan ground. Everyone here is very hospitable,” announced the singer in via twitter.

Sanz will be performing his first concert Tuesday in the state of Zulia at the Palacios de los Eventos, (Palace of Events). He will then move on to Valencia on Thursday and will close his tour Sunday in Caracas.
