The co-founder of the Ultra Music Festival, the Argentine-born Alex Omes, had a cocktail of drugs in his system when he died earlier this year, a toxicology report found.

The 43-year-old music promoter was found dead in his bed Jan. 12, 2015, the day before his lawsuit against the Miami electronic dance music festival and his co-founder, Russell Faibisch, was set to go to trail.

The cause of Omes' death hasn't been officially determined. An autopsy report, released Tuesday by the Miami-Dade County medical examiner, included a toxicology exam that found amphetamines, ketamine, cocaine and traces of GHB in Omes' system. Police found a vial of coke in the Biscayne Boulevard apartment where he was living at the time of his death.

Omes’ brother, Carlos, told the Miami New Times,“Foul play has not been ruled out. It seems just too much of a coincidence that [the case] didn’t even make it to the first day in court.”

The autopsy also found that Omes had an enlarged heart and liver, and swelling around the brain due to excess fluid as well as fluid in his lungs.

Omes’ estate, overseen by his brother, has continued with its lawsuit against Ultra. Earlier this year, the court ruled in favor of  the EDM festival, deciding that because there wasn’t an employment contract between Omes and Ultra, his estate had no rights to the event, a ruling that is being appealed.

This year's festival, scheduled for March 18 to 20, includes veteran EDM acts such as Afrojack, Avicii, David Guetta and deadmau5, to name a few.

A day after his passing, Ultra officials said in a press release, “(We) extend our deepest condolences to the family of Alex Omes … We will continue to remember and celebrate Alex for his love, passion and contributions to the EDM community.”
