Archaeologist says Roman fort was found where nobody expected one

Archaeologist Mark Merrony told Fox News Digital about the discovery of an ancient Roman fort in Wales that could support a centuries-old legend involving Emperor Magnus Maximus, who is said to have established a military camp in the area.

Archaeologist Mark Merrony at Wolfson College, Oxford, told Fox News Digital that excavations at a newly identified Roman fort in Wales uncovered numerous artifacts, including ceramic tiles. Researchers also identified a possible connection to Welsh folklore and an aqueduct that warrants further investigation.
