Kate Middleton joined Queen Elizabeth II for her first-ever solo outing with the 92-year-old royal.

The two arrived at King’s College in London on Tuesday to open the Bush House, which, according to The Royal Family’s official Twitter account, is the “latest education and learning facilities on the university’s Strand Campus.”

The outing is Middleton's alone with the monarch since she married into the royal family in 2011.

The queen wore a pink Stewart Parvin cashmere coat while Middleton sported a gray Catherine Walker coat dress, according to E! News.

“The Queen is Patron of @KingsCollegeLon – which is the 4th oldest university in England. Today The Duchess is accompanying Her Majesty to see Bush House, a set of buildings which have been converted to include lecture theatres, teaching rooms, and an auditorium,” the family's account announced in a separate tweet.

While at the university, the Queen and the Duchess of Cambridge met with some of the university’s staff before visiting a roof terrace at the school to see “panoramic views of London.”

Later, the monarch unveiled a plaque in the university’s new auditorium, “formally opening Buah House,” according to a news release. Both Middleton and the Queen signed the visitor's book as well.

The public outing marked Middleton’s first event alone with Queen Elizabeth II since she and Prince William wed in 2011, E! News reported.
