Chrissy Teigen reveals her strategy for combating internet trolls

Chrissy Teigen doesn’t shy away from defending herself against Twitter trolls.
“I think you can respond [to trolls] if you’re having fun with them and make it more lighthearted,” the model told Page Six at the 2019 City Harvest Festival Gala at Cipriani 42nd Street on Tuesday. “I used to respond to so many things and I don’t even like it when Twitter is an angry place.”

Teigen, who has publicly shaded everyone from President Trump to her own husband, John Legend, added that she has grown a thicker skin over the years and tends not to take things personally anymore.
“I’m much more able to laugh everything off, so I’ve grown a lot, we’ll say, with Twitter and Instagram,” she said.

Teigen, 33, helped host the starry event for City Harvest, which helps feed the hungry and stop food waste in New York. The benefit raised $4.1 million.
Richard Gere was honored for his work with the organization while Antoni Porowski, Darren Criss, Geoffrey Zakarian, Ted Allen, Eric Ripert, and Nas were also in attendance.
