All 20 gunmen remaining inside a police compound in the capital surrendered on Sunday, ending a two-week standoff, The Armenian security service said.

The surrender of the armed members of a radical opposition group ended a standoff that left two police officers dead and several people wounded on both sides.

The standoff also set off protests that led to unrest in the capital, Yerevan.
