Sen. Marco Rubio's wife, Jeanette, crashed into a parked Porsche in South Florida Saturday, shortly after dropping off her husband for a political summit he was hosting, according to The New York Post.

Jeanette Rubio was driving the family's Ford pickup truck when she dropped her husband off at the “Team Marco 2016” summit at the Delano hotel, where the Cuban-American senator was going to speak to some 300 donors.

After she dropped him off, the Post reports, she drove too closely to a four-door Porsche Panamera which, coincidentally, belonged to a supporter of the potential 2016 presidential candidate. She ended up sideswiping the luxury car, which has a base price of $78,000.

Both cars sustained minimal damage and no one was hurt, the Post said.

The accident comes about three years after the senator's then-12-year-old daughter, Amanda, was involved in a golf cart accident, in which she suffered a head injury and was hospitalized.

When it happened, Rubio was en route to a campaign event in Tampa for GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney.
