Authorities in Iraq say shooting and bombings, including a double suicide bomber attack, have killed seven people.

Police officials said the deadliest attack happened Monday morning when gunmen opened fire on a group of employees working for Ninevaha provincial government as they were waiting for their bus in the northern city of Mosul, killing three people.

In the northern town of Hawijah, another police official said two officers were killed and seven were wounded when two suicide bomber set off their explosive belts at the gate of a police station.

In the northern suburbs of Baghdad, officials said two soldiers were killed by a hand grenade at a security checkpoint.

Medical officials confirmed the casualty figures. All officials spoke on condition of anonymity as they weren't authorized to release information.
