London 2012 Olympics: Boxer Marlen Esparza Wins Bronze Medal

Female flyweight boxer Marlen Esparza has earned her first medal, a bronze, in the 2012 Olympic Games in London.

Esparza faced Ren Cancan of China in the semifinal round on Wednesday and lost to her in points by a score of 10-8. She faltered in the first three rounds and was only able to manage a tie in the fourth and final round.

Ren will face British opponent Nicola Adams on Thursday to determine who wins the gold and silver medals in the women's flyweight division.
