A teenage hockey player in Pennsylvania died Monday from head trauma after leaving a game Sunday complaining about a headache, Philly.com reported.

On Sunday, Nick Bond, 18, reportedly told his coach—who was also his father—that he had a headache. The report said that shortly thereafter, he collapsed and was rushed to Einstein Medical Center.

It was not immediately clear when Bond suffered the fatal hit. He was playing at the Wissahickon Skating Club in Chestnut, which is outside Philadelphia. His coaches and other parents told the paper that they did not see any collisions. His death was ruled a homicide.

“The entire community has been hit real hard by this,” Dennis Primavera, Springfield’s head baseball coach said.
