DARLINGTON, Ind. – A sheriff says a central Indiana woman killed her two young children then stabbed herself in the neck a day after her husband filed for divorce.
Montgomery County Sheriff Mark Casteel says 30-year-old Brandi Worley of Darlington confessed to the killings in a 911 call about 4:30 a.m. Thursday. Casteel says she showed no remorse during her confession.
Casteel says a deputy found 7-year-old Tyler and 3-year-old Charlie Worley dead in a bedroom.
No information has been released on how they died. An autopsy is scheduled for Friday.
The sheriff says their father, Jason Worley, was asleep in the basement, unaware of what was happening in the home about 40 miles northwest of Indianapolis.
A hospital is treating Worley for injuries to her neck.
