A man in Pennsylvania who told police his infant daughter was injured falling out of her baby swing has been charged with killing her.

Deven Kohr, 23, faces criminal homicide and other charges in the 6-month-old girl's death. The charges were filed Saturday.

Police say emergency crews were called to the home in New Cumberland May 14 when the girl went into cardiac arrest. Doctors later determined that the girl's injuries were caused by having been squeezed within 15 minutes.

She died at a hospital later that day.

Kohr allegedly told a relative he knew he murdered the girl, Fox 43 reported. Relatives claimed he previously dropped the infant more than once.

A coroner found injuries consistent with traumatic asphyxia and numerous brain bleeds that had occurred previously. There were hemorrhages in the girl's eyes, which would have left her blind.

Kohr is jailed without bond. His attorney declined to comment.

A preliminary hearing was scheduled for August 3.
