2 men in custody after fatal shooting of 6-month-old girl

DETROIT – Police say they have two men in custody following the shooting death of a 6-month-old girl in Detroit.

Officer Dan Donakowski tells the Detroit Free Press (http://on.freep.com/1QeRO5e ) that the child was killed when shots were fired near a house Saturday. A 24-year-old man was injured.

Police say they believe the shooting is connected to the fatal shooting of a 3-year-old girl on Easter Sunday.

Investigators believe the gunman approached the house on foot but escaped in a car.

No other details were immediately available.
