WINDSOR, Colo. – The FBI has joined the investigation into the shooting death of a man bicycling on a rural road in northern Colorado.
Police in Windsor announced Tuesday they are getting help from the FBI in the death of 48-year-old John Jacoby. He was shot twice, and his body was found by a passing driver Monday.
Neither the police nor FBI released details about why the agency was now involved.
Police have been looking into whether the shooting of the part-time town worker and grocery bagger could be related to the shooting of a woman driving on Interstate 25 near town last month. She was shot in the neck and managed to pull over and call for help.
The Coloradoan reports (http://noconow.co/1INbfCC) that Jacoby didn't drive and got around by bike.
