Police: 2 NYC officers critically hurt after being shot in patrol car, suspect believed dead

Authorities say two New York Police Department officers are in critical condition after being shot inside their patrol car, and the suspect is believed dead.

Police say the shooting took place in Brooklyn's Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood on Saturday afternoon.

Both officers were rushed to a nearby hospital, and police say they are critically injured.

Authorities say the suspect ran into the subway, where he shot himself. Authorities say he is believed to be dead.

No other details were immediately available.
