Pennsylvania State Police say the gunman who ambushed two troopers outside their barracks, killing one, used a rifle and might have had formal firearms training through the military or law enforcement.
Lt. Colonel George Bivens said Monday that investigators are focusing on the possibility that the killer had an "ongoing issue with law enforcement or the government" and was targeting the Blooming Grove barracks specifically.
Cpl. Bryon Dickson was killed and another trooper was critically wounded in the Friday night attack at the barracks in northeastern Pennsylvania. The killer slipped away, sparking a manhunt.
Addressing the killer directly, Bivens says, "You are a coward. ... We will find you."
