Police say a suspect arrested in a deadly Las Vegas home invasion told them she fought off a woman with a screwdriver to help her partner in crime as he struggled with and fatally shot the woman's husband.

Authorities arrested 35-year-old Natasha Galenn Jackson on suspicion of murder and other charges stemming from a Tuesday morning crime spree that left the homeowner and male suspect dead and two others injured.

Jackson told police she and a man known as "Cody" or "Havoc" carjacked a freeway service patrol worker who tried to help them on the side of the road before invading several homes.

Two people in two different homes were shot before police confronted and fatally shot the male suspect.

A police report did not detail a motive for the crimes.
