A popular Boston College senior died Thursday night after she was hit by a cab as she crossed a street in New York, MyFoxBoston.com reported.

Kelly Gordon, of Brielle, New Jersey, was reportedly out celebrating after a job interview with Goldman Sachs. She was walking home to her sister’s apartment, The New York Post reported.

The cab driver reportedly swerved to avoid Gordon, but could not stop the collision.

Gordon bounced off the hood of his cab, and then was run over by a second cab's passenger tires, police told the paper. Both cab drivers remained on the scene, and passed a Breathalyzer test.

"Kelly was a popular student in BC's Carroll School of Management, where she studied finance and marketing, a community volunteer with the student group 4Boston, and a member of the student organization Boston College Women in Business," a school spokesman said.
