A New York baby sitter, who was watching a 4-year-old boy found badly beaten and burned in a luxury Times Square apartment and who later died at a hospital, allegedly admitted to police that she carried out a series of beatings on the child, DNAInfo.com reported.

Janaie Jones, 37, allegedly told police that the beatings lasted several days and they included hangers, belts and burning, the report said. She allegedly told police that she would even beat the boy when he asked to go to McDonald's. She is expected to be charged, the report said.

The boy's father has been incarcerated since his arrest in mid-December on a warrant for missing a court appearance. The beatings allegedly started on Dec. 18.

"This is as bad as it gets," a source told DNAInfo.com. "She tortured him over a period of days."

The Associated Press reported that the woman at first told police she placed the boy on a bathroom counter and briefly left the room. Upon her return, she discovered that the boy fell off the counter and into an empty bathtub. The boy was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The boy, Myles Dobson, suffered wounds described as "horrific" by Bill Bratton, the NYPD commissioner, according to the report.
