A man reportedly believed to have been looking for clothing or a place to spend the night died after getting trapped inside a collection box, police say.
New Jersey police found Joseph Hanshaw, 50, trapped by the hinged door of the box at the Salvation Army Church, MyFoxNY.com reported.
Authorities worked to free Hanshaw from the door and rushed him to a nearby hospital but he had already died, the report says.
