MEADVILLE, Pa. -- A group of western Pennsylvania college students are hanging 350 bras, underwear and socks as part of an environmental message.

The environmental science students at Allegheny College in Meadville are hanging out the undergarments as part of their "350 Project" meant to raise awareness about the danger of carbon emissions.

The project represents the number 350 parts per million, the level of carbon emissions the atmosphere can handle before it suffers irreparable damage. Part of the message is that even something as simple as hanging out clothes to dry can be helpful.

The students say they initially planned to hang bed sheets, but had trouble collecting 350 sheets, so they moved to undergarments.
