A man who lived in California with two wives has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for sexually assaulting three relatives when they were girls.

Jose Luis Torres Quiroz, 54, was sentenced Friday in San Diego. He pleaded guilty last month to rape, sodomy and committing forcible lewd acts on children.

Prosecutors say Torres sexually assaulted his relatives beginning when they were 7, 10 and 11. They say the eldest girl — who's now 28 — was assaulted until she turned 18 and left home.

Authorities say Torres had wives in Mexico and the U.S. He lived with both in San Diego before moving to Mexico.

He was arrested earlier this year when the victims were allegedly assaulted by another person and they told authorities about the earlier abuse.
