A quick trip around Hannity's America...

Double Standard

During the 2008 presidential campaign, Senator John McCain was criticized by Democrats and the media for his straight talk about Michigan's economy. In particular, he was attacked after he made this statement:

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

SEN. JOHN MCCAIN, R-ARIZ.: I've got to look you in the eye and tell you that some of those jobs aren't coming back.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

Since Democrats in the media slammed Senator McCain for those remarks, they surely are not going to be happy about this:

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA: The hard truth is, is that some of the jobs that have been lost in the auto industry and elsewhere won't be coming back.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

That sounds awfully familiar. Yet, where is the outrage from Democrats and the Obama-mania media?

No Tour of Duty

We told you Tuesday about an Army reserve soldier who challenged his deployment orders on the grounds that President Obama has not proven he is a U.S. citizen.

Major Stefan Frederick Cook, who was supposed to deploy to Afghanistan in the coming days, has had his orders revoked. According to his lawyer, "They just said 'order revoked.' No explanation. No reasons. Just revoked."

Major Cook and his lawyer expressed joy at this outcome and took it as an admission on the part of the military that the president is not in fact a legitimate citizen by birth.

Fashionista

Actress, fitness guru and political activist Jane Fonda recently showed up in Hollywood in an interesting getup: A t-shirt with her mug shot on it!

Fonda was wrongfully arrested on drug charges on her way back from an anti-war fundraiser in 1970. The drugs that Fonda was accused of smuggling turned out to actually be vitamins.

Fonda also famously posed on a North Vietnamese anti-aircraft gun in the middle of the Vietnam War.

Maybe you should throw that picture on a t-shirt, Jane. Treason is certainly a legacy to be proud of. Don't you think?

Land of the "Czars"

Once again, it's time to say goodbye to Hannity's America and take a trip to the Land of "Czars."

Meet Van Jones, the man selected by President Barack Obama to serve as his green jobs "czar." Before arriving in Washington, Jones had a long and distinguished record as a radical environmental activist.

But he also has another lengthy record under his belt: a criminal record.

Jones was arrested on at least two occasions, once during the Rodney King riots in Los Angeles and then again several years later during protests in Seattle.

Now with a record like that, it's good that Jones didn't need to be confirmed by the U.S. Senate.

Oh, and by the way, to top it all off, in a 2005 newspaper article, Jones openly acknowledged that he was once a communist.

He should feel right at home in the Land of "Czars."

Bushel of Waste

We have a Waste 101 update for you. The staggering misuse of stimulus funds continues this time in Oregon, where officials plan to spend a whopping $700 million of your dollars to hire off-season fishermen to retrieve lost crab traps from the ocean floor.

I don't think hiring fishermen in the off-season is going to do much for our nation's unemployment rate.
