Hanging Up Her Dancing Shoes: Toni Braxton Sent Home on ABC's 'Dancing With the Stars'

It was a drama-filled night on ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars,” as the judges sent singer Toni Braxton home and two-time champ Julianne Hough had to be hospitalized after performing a high energy dance.

Singer Braxton and her professional partner, Alec Mazo, were eliminated Tuesday from ABC's popular dancing competition after receiving a score of 22 out of 30 from the show's judges during Monday's performance.

Unfortunately for the "Unbreak My Heart" crooner, her respectable West Coast swing routine wasn’t quite swinging enough to keep her from getting the boot.

But Braxton put a positive spin on here elimination, saying she was happy with her performance on the show.

"My goal was reached," said Braxton, who has coronary microvascular angina, after she was dismissed. "I wanted to do better. I wanted to breathe better. And I was definitely breathing better. I've come a long way from Week One to Week Now."

But it was Hough who caused quite a scare for the cast and crew.

The 20-year-old professional dancer, who has partnered with "Hannah Montana" actor Cody Linely on the show went to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center following the live results Tuesday. The judges selected the pair to perform an encore of their jitterbug routine from Monday's performance show.

According to People magazine, Hough’s rep said she “was experiencing slight stomach pains all day that increased and the doctors thought it was best to have them checked out.”

Earlier reports stated that Hough collapsed during the show, but People confirmed that they were false. Instead, she was energetic throughout the show, but was spotted getting into an ambulance 40 minutes after taping wrapped, People said.

Celebrities remaining in the competition include TV personality Brooke Burke; singer Lance Bass; former National Football League star Warren Sapp; Olympic gold medalist Maurice Greene; actor Cody Linley; and actresses Cloris Leachman and Susan Lucci.

Chef Rocco DiSpirito, reality TV star Kim Kardashian, actor Ted McGinley and comedian Jeffrey Ross were previously eliminated.
