Actress Jodie Foster has split from longtime girlfriend Cydney Bernard, leaving her for screenwriter Cindy Mort, according to the U.K.'s Daily Mail and other press reports.
The 45-year-old "Silence of the Lambs" star had been with Bernard, 55, for almost 15 years. The couple had been raising Foster's two sons, 9-year-old Kit and 6-year-old Charles, together.
Foster reportedly met Mort, 41, while filming 2007's "The Brave One."
"Cydney had no idea their relationship was in trouble until Jodie came home one day and told her she'd fallen in love with Cindy and was moving out," a source told the Mail. "Cydney is devastated."
Mort was in a relationship with "thirtysomething" actress Melanie Mayron at the time.
