As we've been reporting, the movie "Redacted" will be released this week. Only a few theaters will show it, but billionaire Mark Cuban, who financed the film, is pushing the project hard.

Directed by Brian DePalma, the movie graphically shows two drunk U.S. soldiers raping and murdering a 14-year-old Iraqi girl and committing other atrocities. There's little doubt the film will be used by Muslim jihadists to recruit terrorists. And certainly this vile project will create even more hatred around the world toward the USA.

Most anti-war Americans are running for cover over this. Only elements at NBC News have supported the film so far. As you may know, NBC is the most anti-military TV news operation in the country. You'll remember NBC News analyst William Arkin calling U.S. troops in Iraq "mercenaries" and writing that they receive "obscene amenities".

There comes a time in a free society when citizens must take a stand. And this is one of those times. Cuban has a constitutional right to make this piece of garbage. And we have a right to criticize him and anyone who supports the project.

This is not about the Iraq War or any other policy. This is about inciting even more violence against Americans, both military and civilian. Mark Cuban may not be smart enough to figure that out. I don't understand his motivation, but at this point I don't really care.

"Talking Points" is asking all NBA fans to bring "Support The Troops" signs to Dallas Maverick games. Cuban owns that team. And if this revolting movie plays in a theater near you, stand in front of the theater with a "Support The Troops" sign. Already a theater in North Carolina has canceled the showing.

We all need to take a stand on this one, ladies and gentlemen. Over the past few years, I have watched as far-left loons have denigrated America over Iraq, have dishonestly portrayed the war on terror, have blamed the USA for just about everything bad in the world, and have insulted the military time after time.

As we reported last night, liberals are not doing this. Far-left fools are. And Mark Cuban is certainly a member of that group. Obviously, our men and women overseas are making a great sacrifice. And even if you disagree with the war on terror policy, we all owe our troops support and encouragement. Any American who would harm our military people must be confronted. And that's why I'm spending so much time on Mark Cuban.

This man is hurting our troops and helping the terrorists, period.

Pinheads and Patriots

Tonight you can make the call.

Everything famous people do can now wind up on the Internet, even casual conversations. A few years ago Dan Rather was speaking to a CBS News producer about what to wear on the air.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

DAN RATHER, FORMER CBS NEWS ANCHOR: Should I go without the coat? On the other hand I prefer not to be the frozen anchor man. The broadcast is not for another 45 minutes. The temperature — the wind will be up, but the temperature will be down.

What do you think? But it looks so windblown this way. I mean, I think the coat looks fine. I agree with you, I think the coat looks subtle. But it looks so what do you think?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: If you wear the coat, keep the collar down.

RATHER: Definitely not. Absolutely. Nobody wears a trench coat with the collar down.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

O'REILLY: Well, current CBS News anchor Katie Couric saw the Rather deal and made a tape of her own.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

KATIE COURIC, CBS NEWS ANCHOR: OK. Should I open my coat? I'm going to be like Dan Rather on YouTube. Mike, help me with my coat. Can you help me? What do you think? Open or — it's kind of cold. I think this looks good. I think this looks good. This looks more anchorwomanish, don't you think?

OK. Sorry. I'm going to get in trouble. Geeze, don't you think he deserves a little payback?

All right. This tart is ready to go.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

O'REILLY: This tart? I'm not feeling the love there between Miss Couric and Mr. Rather.

So who's the pinhead, if anyone? You can decide. E-mail me, and I'll report the consensus tomorrow. Who's the pinhead between those two?

You can catch Bill O'Reilly's "Talking Points Memo" and "Pinheads and Patriots" weeknights at 8 and 11 p.m. ET on the FOX News Channel and any time on foxnews.com/oreilly. Send your comments to: oreilly@foxnews.com
