This is the 317th Observer and the last. In fact, I’m going to be moving out of this time slot, where I’ve been for several years now.
I love covering breaking news, but it was time for a change, and I’m getting the chance to do something I’ve wanted to do for a long time… to go in depth on stories that have either been missed or underreported. Now I’ll be able to concentrate on these projects with a FOX documentary team in specials throughout the year. You’ll be hearing more about these in the future.
At the same time, I’ll continue on as host of “Forbes on FOX” and remain an active part of the best business team on television. And I’ll still be doing breaking news from time to time. So we’ll see each other. But I’ll miss being here day to day at the same time with all of you. I love getting your e-mails… you letting me know when I did well or when I messed up. The overwhelming majority of you are thoughtful, kind and well natured. Some of you have become good friends. Let’s stay that way.
That’s the Observer. So long.
