"Four Weddings and Funeral" actress Andie MacDowell (search) and businessman Rhett Hartzog have called it quits after nearly three years of marriage, her publicist said Thursday.

Publicist Karen Samfilippo confirmed the divorce, which was first reported by People magazine, but declined to comment further.

MacDowell, 46, and Hartzog, 45, married in November 2001 in Asheville, N.C.

MacDowell has three children from her first marriage to model-turned-contractor Paul Qualley (search). Hartzog's marriage to MacDowell was his first.

MacDowell and Hartzog were classmates at Gaffney High School in South Carolina. They reunited in July 1999 when MacDowell's sister reintroduced them.

"I had a secret crush on her in high school," Hartzog told People magazine in 1999 after he proposed to MacDowell.

MacDowell's films include "Groundhog Day" (search) and the upcoming "Beauty Shop" with Queen Latifah.
