Molly Henneberg

Molly Henneberg is a news correspondent for FOX News Channel (FNC). She joined FNC in 2002 and is based in the network’s Washington, D.C., bureau. Most recently, she provided extensive coverage of the Virginia Tech massacre in April 2007 as the first national reporter on the scene.

In 2006, Henneberg traveled to Canada to cover the thwarted terrorism plot and also covered the 2006 midterm elections, focusing on Pennsylvania and Virginia. In May 2005, she secured an exclusive interview with First Lady Laura Bush from the White House.

Previously, Henneberg reported live from numerous U.S. states during the 2004 Democratic presidential candidate nominating process, including Des Moines, Iowa prior to and during the Iowa Caucuses.

In 2003, she traveled multiple times to the Persian Gulf to provide coverage of Operation Iraqi Freedom, filing numerous reports from the Iraqi capital of Baghdad. Earlier, Henneberg covered the 2002 Washington, D.C.-area sniper attacks.

Before joining FNC, Henneberg was a medical reporter at WBRE-TV in Wilkes Barre/Scranton, Pa. Earlier, she served as an early evening anchor at WPBN-TV in Traverse City, Mich. and has also worked at WHAG-TV in Hagerstown, Md.

Henneberg has received several honors for her reporting, including a 1999 Michigan Association of Broadcasters Award for Best Series Reporting. In 2000, she was selected to participate in Radio Television News Directors Association’s (RTNDA) German/American Journalists’ Exchange.

Henneberg earned her bachelor’s degree from Vanderbilt University, graduating summa cum laude.
