Alex Rodriguez will play his final game for the New York Yankees Friday against the Tampa Bay Rays after the team announced last weekend that the 41-year-old will be released from his contract following the first game of the series with the Rays. Rodriguez has made just two appearances for the Yankees in August, but he's scheduled to start Thursday in Boston - one night after he was serenaded with boos from fans at Fenway Park following an at-bat as a pinch hitter.

A-Rod, who is just four home runs away from 700 for his career, might be getting a little nostalgic as the end of his Yankees career nears. On Thursday morning, Rodriguez tweeted a photo of himself as a high-schooler playing for Westminster Christian School.
