Kansas City, MO – The Tampa Bay Rays activated designated hitter Luke Scott from the 15-day disabled list Tuesday.
Scott missed the first 25 games of the season with a right calf strain.
Last year, Scott batted .229 with 14 home runs and 55 RBI over 96 games with the Rays.
To make room for Scott on the roster, the Rays designated outfielder Shelley Duncan for assignment.
