The Seattle Seahawks continued their offseason overhaul of the defensive line on the third day of the draft with the selection of Alabama defensive tackle Jesse Williams in the fifth round.

Seattle traded one of three fifth round selections and a sixth round pick to the Detroit Lions to move up and snag Williams. While most of Seattle's roster moves have been to bolster their pass rush, Williams is a big-body at 6-foot-4, 323 pounds that will factor more heavily in the run game. The Seahawks have now expended three free agent signings and two draft picks along the defensive front.

Williams could be the replacement Seattle needed for Alan Branch, who signed with the Buffalo Bills in free agency.
