The Atlanta Hawks signed center Erick Dampier day contract on Sunday.

With centers Al Horford and Jason Collins both sidelined with injuries, the Hawks brought in Dampier earlier this month. He has appeared in four games and is averaging 6.5 minutes per games.

Dampier appeared in 51 games last season for Miami, averaging 2.5 points and 3.5 rebounds.

The 36-year-old Mississippi State product was selected by Indiana with the 10th overall pick of the 1996 draft and has averaged 7.5 points, 7.2 rebounds and 1.4 blocks in 976 games over 15 seasons with the Pacers, Warriors, Mavericks, Heat and Hawks.
