NEW YORK (Reuters) - Rudy Fernandez of the Portland Trail Blazers has been fined $50,000 for public statements detrimental to the NBA made by the Spaniard's agent, the league said Monday.
Gerard Darnes, who represents Fernandez, told reporters on October 6 that the 6-foot-6 (1.98m) swingman wanted to be released by the Trail Blazers, the league said.
In August, Fernandez was fined $25,000 for statements made by Darnes concerning his desire to be traded or released by Portland.
